Join us at the library as we listen to two wonderful poets read from their work.

Paddy Noble is a year round resident of Vinalhaven. Published in numerous collections here and abroad she has won awards for her poetry over the last forty years. In the past she has done readings of her work on radio, local tv stations, at Universities and other venues. Her poetry can be found in our local paper, “The Wind”, and, when she can ‘sit still’, she is working on her third book of poetry. 

Patricia Sweeney, a graduate of Rutgers University, has been friends with Paddy Noble for 40 years. In the past, in New York, they often read their poems together. Patricia grew up on a farm, which formed the basis of much of her poetry. She’s the author of “A Thousand Times & Other Poems”, by Canios Editions in NY. More recently, she is published in “Sufi Magazine”.
